Our friends Seek Magic play lovely music in a couple of our favourite drinking spots. They host a monthly Saturday night in The Tanners and a Sunday in Ernest – two of Newcastle’s more unique bars.

Something Concrete + Modern is the name of an initiative developed to celebrate the buildings that created a new architectural landscape in the North east of England in the post war years.
The post-war era in the North east was by far the most prosperous period of cultural change and growth embodied through a boom in new buildings in the region and the principal aim of the initiative will be to create a book, supplemented initially by a website and then exhibitions and symposia to illustrate the work.
