TAC launches Data Architects rebrand.

TAC has recently completed a rebrand for Newcastle-based IT consultants and software developers, Data Architects.

Data Architects work across a range of sectors, including government, healthcare and environment and specialise in building bespoke applications and complex databases. Their clients include Defra, The Zoological Society of London and Edge Hill University.

Over the past 12 months we have worked closely with Data Architects to roll out their new brand across the entire business, delivering a consistent look and tone of voice across all mediums.

We’ll publish an in-depth case study on our work with Data Architects on the website soon.

Scandibørn: A children’s clothing & accessories startup.

Earlier this year we were approached by Scandibørn to develop an identity and supporting material for their start up business.

Scandibørn was born from Grace and James’ passion for Scandinavian inspired design; a movement we admire due to it’s focus on simplicity, minimalism and functionality.

Scandinavian design has long been an inspiration to us, from the Architecture and design of Alvar Aalto, product designers Bang and Olfsen, to the fashion house Acne studios. It is for these reasons that we we jumped at the chance to get involved in such a project.

Hideout Festival continues relationship with TAC.

TAC Design will continue to work alongside Hideout Festival in 2017, providing brand development and marketing support in the lead up to next year’s event.

We’ve worked on Hideout in each of the six years the festival has taken place and we’re delighted to be able to announce that we’ll be continuing our strong relationship.

Named in The Guardian’s List of Best Festivals, Hideout takes place each June when a crowd of thousands descend on Zrce Beach, on Croatia’s Adriatic Coast, for four days of DJs, boat parties and live music.

Wylam Brewery: Relaunching the brand.

Late last year we joined up with Wylam Brewery, one of the most well known names in the real ale game, to develop a new brand identity and online presence. The brief we were given was based around supporting their ambitious expansion from their current home in Heddon-on-the-Wall, to the Palace of Arts in Newcastle’s Exhibition Park.

We worked in close collaboration with Wylam to rebrand all areas of the business. Particular importance was placed on conveying the brand’s key values of Quality and Heritage.

Organised by Creative North, the event brings together the very best of the region’s creative industry. It’s  an opportunity for businesses, freelancers, school leavers, investors and job seekers to see the wealth of creative talent and opportunities in the North East.

We’ll be there and we’re looking forward to meeting new people and exhibiting some of our work. We’ll also be giving away bottles of our limited edition TAC beer, created in association with our client Wylam Brewery.

Coming Soon in 2016.

As we mentioned in our last blog post, 2016 is already looking like it’s going to be a continuation of the exciting year we had at TAC in 2015.

We’ve got a few things that we’re putting the final touches on at the moment – here’s some highlights of what we’ve got coming up in the first couple of months of the new year.

Summer Plans.

We’re lucky at TAC that we get to collaborate with a lot of people whose work we love and with brands we’re passionate about. This second half of the year is shaping up exactly like this, not to mention being our busiest and most exciting to date.

So, as summer 2015 gets officially underway (not that you’d know it), we thought it was a good time to  share what we’re up to over the next few months.
