How we create a positive user experience.
At TAC Design we’re lucky to have the opportunity to be involved with a huge variety of projects with clients from all walks of life.
At the moment, for example, we’re putting the finishing touches on the concept for a new burger restaurant, we’re in the process of fully re-branding a national IT recruitment company and we’re working with the Royal Institute of British Architects on a project about post-war achitecture.
We love the variation. But, whatever we turn our hands to, our ethos and our approach remain consistent.
We mention in a few places on our website that user experience is at the heart of everything we do. So, we thought it would be a good idea to explain what we mean by this.
User experience, in short, is how interacting with something makes a person feel. A website, an app, an online shop. A positive experience creates engagement, builds trust and enhances reputation.
User experience is an iterative process. We constantly review and revise our work based on the motivations behind it. Why are designing? Who are we designing for? What response are we looking to get?
Always considering the needs and expectations of users.
Our approach to design is one of simplicity. Clarity highlights the key messages and helps to focus a user’s attention. If users can engage with something quickly and efficiently, they are left satisfied with their experience.
It’s about refinement. Removing clutter. Taking away unnecessary steps. Offering guidance and providing feedback to users. As with everything we do, it’s in the detail.
We always consider what the work we produce for a client says about their brand. The impression it gives to potential customers. A seamless, streamlined experience for users is a huge part of this.
We’re motivated by helping brands improve and develop their web presence. If you’d like to find out more about what we do, get in touch. We’d love to discuss your ideas.
